Excellent transition with high seed count make this a very desirable species for overseeding in the south. It has excellent shade tolerance and is often used as an ingredient in shade mixes. It is denitrification tolerant with low temperature tolerance as well. Poa trivialis establishes rapidly with a fine texture and medium green color.
